Debt solutions

Sequestration

Sequestration is the Scottish equivalent of Bankruptcy. This solution is always a last resort as it has the harshest result on a persons credit rating.

However, in some instances Sequestration is the most appropriate advice. This is generally the case when a person has no disposable income for which to pay anything towards their debt.

Also, if someone were to have little disposable income (money left over after paying regular monthly bills etc) and no assets i.e. own a house then Sequestration may be the best option.
